Council City of St. Paul Dear Council Members: ' A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known as 14 East Indiana Avenue , described as NEly 40 feet of Lot 5, Block 179, Robertson's Addition to West St. Paul. This property is listed in the names of Esidor Labovichand Israel Labovich, 14 East Indiana Avenue , St. Paul 1; and copies of the proceedings were mailed to Ramsey County Welfare Board c/o Mr. Haines Sabean, Supervisor of Claims and Recover- ies , 476 St. Peter Street, St. Paul 2; and Mrs. Paul Sieger, 2401 Bantus Pt. Rd. , Wayzata , Minnesota. In this mater, the following resolutions were adopted by, the City Council: C. F. 179085, adopted by the City Council August 7, l9561 (Pub- lished August 11, 1956) set a public hearing for August 3l, 1956 at ten o'clock in the Council Chambers. C. F. 179483, adopted by the Council September 5, 1956 (publish- ed September 8, 1956) ordered the wrecking by and at the sepa- rate cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof. C. F. 179500, adopted by the Council September 27, 1956 (publish- ed September 29, 1956) directed the Commissioner of Park , Playgrounds And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the duplex dwelling and do all tongs necessary for the protection of life , limb, and adjoining property. C. F. 180433, adopted by the Council November 20, 1956 ( ublish- ed November 24, 1956) approved the specifications prepay d by this office for the wrecking of this building and authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids. . • - A. #2 - Council C. F. 180847, adopted by the Council December 21, 1956 ( ub- lished Decemb er 29, 1956) approved the award of the con- tract for wrecking to All State Improving Company for t sum of $287.00 in accordance with specifications and Fo al Bid No. 6100. C. F. 182059, adopted by the Council March 26, 1957 (pu lish- ed March 30, 1957) provided that the wrecking expense o $287.00 and the expense of $45.65 incurred by the Depar ment of Parks, Playgrounds And Public Buildings, making a to al of $33 be paid out of Wrecking Condemned Buildings of the enera Fund 31 G 23, and, in the event this sum pr ves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to General Rand Item 31 G 23. The building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a Reg- istered Bill was mailed to the owners. It is requested that you hold a public hearing with ten days notice to consider any complaints about the expens ,. incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council Resolu ion confirming the expenses should end with a directive to he City Clerk to file a statement of expense for the purpo e of securing a lien on the property.
