RESOLVED, that the proper City officers hereby are authorized, in behalf
of City of Saint Paul, to execute and deliver the proposed Agreement between said •
City and the Representative of the Estate of WilliamLawther, also known as William
Lawther, Jr., Decedent, in the Probate Court of Goodhue County, Minnesota, fixing
the amount of compensation to be paid by the City for its condemnation and taking
of the following described real estate situate in the City of Saint Paul, County
of R2msey, State of Minnesota, to-wit:
All that part of Lot 12 in Block 6, of Roberts and Randalls Addition to
St. Paul, bounded and described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point
on Robert St. in said St. Paul where the line between Lots 3 and 12 inter-
sects the W'ly line of said street, thence running Sily along said line
of said street, thence running Slly along said line of said street to the
line between Lots 12 and 13 in said Block, thence 1=T'1y and along the line
between said Lots 12 and 13, 110 ft. to the Eily line of the premises now
occupied by the St. Paul High School, thence Nily and along said E'ly line
of said High School premises to the said line between said Lots 3 and 12
and thence Eily and along said line between said Lots 3 and 12, 110 feet
more or less to the said point of beginning, all according to the recorded
plat thereof on file and of record in the Office of the Register of Deeds
in and for Ramsey County, State of Minnesota.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the amount so fixed shall be in the sum of $9,000.00
which is the equivalent of the award of damages as made and confirmed by the Council
of said City for the aforesaid taking and condemnation of said real estate together
with other real estate, for the enlargement of the Public Safety Department Head-
quarters grounds; that said award shall become payable and be paid to the persons
shown to be entitled to demand and receive the same; and that upon due proof of
the right of said Representative of said Estate to demand and receive the same, said
award of damages shall be paid to the latter coincident with the delivery to said
City of the deed of said Administrator, duly authorized by said Probate Court,
whereby there shall be conveyed all interests of said Estate therein and a good and
marketable title thereto unto said City.
