In the Matter of constructing new ornamental lights on Oakland Avenue rom
Pleasant Avenue to Summit Avenue with new light standards. Also installi• : new cables,
conduits, pull boxes and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete lighting
system and the removal of existing standards and foundations,
under Preliminary Order 182164 approve. April 2, 1957
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said •i provement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is const et new
ornamental lights on Oakland Avenue from Pleasant Avenue to Summit Aven with new
light standards. Also install new cables, conduits, pull boxes and all ether
appurtenances necessary for a complete lighting system and removal of ex sting
standards and foundations,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 272540.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on th- 28th day of
y , 19 57 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber f the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance g ve notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time : e d place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
