A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and he Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having full considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is gravel and oil the roadways of Nokomis Ave. from
McKnight Road. to Maryland Ave. and Tilsen Ave. from McKnight Road to Nokomis Ave.,
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and direted to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the prelimin-
ary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 181743 approved
March 1. 1957 , relative to graveling and oiling the roadways of
Nokomis Avenue fram McKnight Road to Maryland Avenue and Tilsen Avewe fran
Mcrni.ht Road to Nok..is Avenue
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. Said improvement is necessary and (or) desirable.
2. The estimated cost thereof is $ 8,372.02 , and the total cost thereof
Engineering $376.60 Inspection $ 156.77
is $ and the nature and extent of said improvement is as follows:
Cost per Front Foot $2.22 Frontage 3,766 ft.
3. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
