WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the
City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from
March 11, 1957 to March 31st, 1957 inclusive which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employes of the City Clerk's
Office, Bureau of Records, for more than eight hours per day or
forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Indexing chattel mortgages, contracts, etc. and writing
license receipts; and accepting instruments for filing;
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumst.nces:
Vacation of employe,
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employe who performed such work in accordance with the provisions
of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
