RESOLUTION AUTHORI7,�A'�`'APPLICATIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR REDEVELOPMENT GRANT FUNDING FQR THE WEST SIDE
FLATS APARTMENT PROJECT AND TAE S AND WALL APARTMENT PROJECT
4VHEREAS, the City of Saint Pau1, Minnesota (the "City") has identified redevelopment projects within
the City that meet the purposes and criteria of the Redevelopment Program of the Department of
Employment and Economic Development; attd
WHEREAS, the City has the legal authoraty to apply for financial assistance, and the institutional,
managarial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administratian; and
WHEREAS, the City c�rtifies that it has not violated any Federal, State or local laws pertaining to fraud,
bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest, or other unlawful or corrupt practice and that it will
comply with a11 applicable Iaws and regulafions as stated in the contract agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota agXees to act as legal spousor for the projects contained in
the redevelopmenf applications submitted to the Department of Employment and Economic Development
on Februasy l, 2010;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Couneil of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota
hereby approves the redevelopment grant applications submitted to the Department of Employment and
Economic Development February 1, 2010 by the City of Saint Paul for the projects identified as the 4Jest Side
Flats Apartraent Project and the 5' and Wall Apartment Project
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sources and amounts of the local match iaentified in tl�e
applications are committed to the project identified; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that up�n approval of its application by the Deparnnent of Employment
and Economic Development the City of Saint Paul may entes into an agreement with it for the above-
referenced project, and that the City af Saint Paul certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and
regutations as stated in alt contract agreements; and

�_ BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Saint Paul are hereby
