Dear Sir:
I transmit herewith a preliminary estimate of cost for the paving and improving
of Shepard Road from Wilkin Street to James Avenue, by changing the existing roadway
elevation and establishing a permanent grade conforming to the grade shown in the
profile on file in the Department of Public Works; by regrading and paving with 8"
one course concrete pavement the widened roadway, including construction on easements
to be acquired where necessary, to the proposed established grade; by constructing
new curbing and sidewalks; by grading and paving approach roads where necessary, by
constructing storm water sewers and drainage facilities; by constructing retaining
walls and railings; by constructing new mercury vapor ornamental lights with new
aluminum light standards, installing new cables, conduits, pull boxes and all other
appurtenances where necessary for a complete lighting system and by doing all other
work necessary and incidental to said improvement, under Preliminary Order C. F.
181074 approved January 15, 1957.
Estimated Total Cost $ 816,717.00
Estimated Property Assessment (3350 x $15.00) 50,250.00
City's Share of Cost (200 ST-4 Bond Issue) $ 766,467.00
Note: Estimated Property Share of Cost is based on the following
