An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 7607, entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the duties and responsi-
bilities and the minimum qualifications for the various
classes of positions in the Classified Service of the City,"
approved February 13, 1935, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking
out of the Minimum Qualifications for "Surveyor" the words "Must be a
Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Minnesota. ".
Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same
is hereby further amended by inserting in its proper alphabetical order
the following title and specifications for:

Duties and reeponsibiiities;
Under supervision., to do actual work and to act as leader of a
small crew of men engaged in the installation and repair of
parking meters; and to perform related work as assigned:
Examples of work performed:
To engage in and to supervise the installation, repair and maintenance
of parking meter equipment on the street and parking lots.
To engage in and to supervise the dtomantling, repair, and assembling
of parking meter clock mechanic rns in the meter shop.
To keep records of parts and materials used in the repair of parking
meters and to order additional parts and materials when necessary.
To inspect meters for cleanliness and upkeep.
To see that orders from the Traffic Bureau are carries out, and to
check on the punctuality and industry of other repairmen.
To keep the time of the men and submit daily time reports.
Minimum qualifications:
Eighth-grade education and two years' experience as a Utilityman
engaged in the repair of parking meters,
