- WHEREAS, the City of Saint aul, by Ordinance No. 10369,
passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor September 21, 1954,
and as ratified and approved by a majority of the electors of said
City at the election held November 2, 1954, provided for the
issuance and sale of Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($5,500,000) par value in and of Water Works Bonds of said
City for the purposes of extending, enlarging, improving, and
bettering the Water Works System, owned and operated by said City,
and it heretofore became advisable and necessary that such be done
and accordingly, pursuant to the request of the Board of Water
Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul, under its prior Resolutions
and the prior Resolutions of this Counoil, the aggregate of
Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000) par value
in and of said Water Works Bonds were issued and sold for said
purposes, and it has become and now is advisable and necessary
that an additional One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) par value in
and of said Bonds be issued and sold for said purposes with all
convenient speed as the Board of Water Commissioners of the City
of Saint Paul, by its Resalution adopted March 15, 1957, has found and
requested, it is hereby
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul issue
and sell at this time an additional One Million Dollars ($1,000,000)
par value in and of said Bonds pursuant to and in accordance with said
Ordinance No. 10369.
