PAUL COE NCIL No. ' f OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK r COUNCIL RESOLUTION GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE• = DATF Count l lie No 181917-By Aolfert:14�'. aa, aetald Hence asst sp }.1 WHEREAS , Gerald Hanggi, an employe of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injured on November 4, 1956, in a third party accident, while engaged in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public Safety, and the City has incurred medical expenses in the total amount of $210.85 therefor, and the employe, by reason of said injury, was disabled for work for a total of fourteen days , being paid the amount of $253.46 therefor; and WHEREAS , a settlement has been negotiated by the parties whereby said employe will receive the sum of $500.00 in settlement of his claim against the party causing the accident , and the City will receive the sum of $464.31 for medical expense and wages paid said employe because of said injury, therefore, be it • RESOLVED, The proper city officers are hereby authorized to accept said settlement , the total amount of which is $964.31, from the Travelers Insurance Company, insurer of John W. Ramaley, Jr. , the third party invcalved in said accident , the amounts of $210.85 for medical expert4s` and $253.46 for salary to be credited to the proper funds , and the amount of $500.00 to be remitted to said employe.
