WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the
City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from
January 2nd, 1957 to February 15th, 1957 inclusive which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employes of the City Clerk's
Office, Bureau of Records, for more than eight hours per day or
forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Typing licenses,mailing licenses, checking license receipt records,
indexing chattel mortgages, contracts, etc.,
and •
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Illness of employes and license rush period,
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employes who performed such work in accordance with the provisions
of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
