RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $30.00 be
allowed under contract number G-239 between the City
of Saint Paul and the Hankee Heating Company, said
contract for the Installation of Boilers and Piping
at the Como Park Greenhouse and said extra to cover
the installation of an expansion joint between the
walls and floor slab, this installation having been
requested by the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds
and Public Buildings, and agreement made with the
Contractor, and a memorandum of said agreement having
been filed with the Comptroller and countersigned by
him.

Dear Sir:
Contract Number G-239 was awarded to the Hankee
Heating Company for the Installation of Boilers and Piping
at the Como Park Greenhouse, Como Park, St. Paul, Minnesota.
During the course of the work under this contract,
it was found necessary to place an expansion joint between
the walls and the floor slab in the Boiler Room, this not
covered in the original specifications. Negotiations have
been conducted with the Contractor who agrees to furnish
and place this expansion joint between the walls and floor
slab for the additional sum of $30.00 which is a reasonable
amount for the labor and material involved.
It is therefore requested that a Resolution be sub-
mitted to the Council authorizing an extra in the amount of
$30.00 to cover the above described work.
