WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Deparnnent of Planning and Economic DeveLopment (PED) will incur costs for two
members of the City's Heritage Preservarion Commission and four city staff to attend the 24'" Annual Statewide Historic
Preservation Conference at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska on September 17 through September I8, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Historic Society has grant funds allocated by US Department of Interior for qualifying historic
preservation activities; and
WHEREAS, the existing budget in PED Administrative Fund 126 wi11 be used and be reimbursed by grant funds; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; the City is authorized to pay for two (2) Historic Preservation Commission members
and four (4) City staff to attend Hisioric Preservation Conference; and
FINALLY, that the Ciry Counci] authorizes the City of Saint Paul to apply for and enter into the gant agreement with the
Minnesota Historical Saciery.
