NO._ OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK RESOLUTION-GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY ;la/4 COMMISSIONER� /CIL DATF WHEREAS, The Civil Service Commissioner has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from January 2, 1957, to January 24, 1957, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Civil Service Bureau for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Checking and entering annual salary changes and computing and entering sick leave credits; check- ing and entering salary changes for teachers in order to check special semi-monthly payroll due January 11, 1957. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Work had to be completed in time to meet payroll deadlines. Could. not be handled by untrained personnel. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees shown on the attached list, who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, No. 6446. Council File No. 181406—By Milton Rosen by request— Resolved, That the proper City of- ficers are hereby authorized to pay cer- tain employes in the Civil Service Bureau for extra employment as de- scribed in the resolution.
