WHEREAS, In the matter of the Curbing of the North Side of Litchfield
Street from Rice Street to Park Street, Comptroller's Contract
L-5687, Standard Stone Company, Contractors, the specified date
for completion was January 16, 1956, and
WHEREAS, The Contractor has prosecuted the work diligently, but due to
suspension of all concrete work by the City of St. Paul until
Summer, a condition beyond the control of the Contractor, it was
not possible to complete the contract by said completion date,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to execute an amendment to said contract, extending
the time of completion to September 28, 1956, provided however,
that this Resolution shall have no force or effect unless the sureties
on the Contractor' s Bond consent thereto and file such consent in
writing with the City Comptroller, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of St. Paul hereby waives all claim for
liquidated damages and that no engineering and inspection costs on
this proiect will be charged bvithe City on account of such extended
