RESOLVED, That the Purchasing Agent be, and he is hereby authorized, with the consent
of the Mayor and the Comptroller to issue Purchase Order to GREAT LAKES COAL & DOCK COMPANY
for two carloads (approx. 115 tons) West Virginia "splint" stoker coal at a cost of approx.
$1,383.45 without advertisement per Informal Bid #3853 as an emergency existed where
failure to act promptly would work a hardship to the best interest of the City.
