Uil)t -. ..r r.r WHEREAS , Thomas Howson, an employe of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul, was in- jured on January 16, 1957, in a third party accident , while engaged in the performance of his duties for the Board of Water Commissioners ; and The City has incurred medical expenses in the total amount of $63.50 therefor; and WHEREAS , The employe, by reason of said injury, was disabled for work for two days , being paid the amount of $37. 17 as sick leave therefor; and ' WHEREAS, A settlement has been negotiated by the parties whereby said employe will receive the sum of $70.00 in settlement of his claim against the party causing the accident, and the City will receive the sum of $103.50 for ne dical expense and wages paid said employe because of said injury, therefore, be it RESOLVED, The proper city officers are hereby authorized to accept said settlement of $103.50 from St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. , insurer_ of Frederick L. Paetzold, the third party involved in said accident , being reimbursement for medical expense in the amount of $63.50, and salary in amount of $37.17, paid on behalf of said employe, said sums to be credited to Water Department Fund, and the balance of said settlement , $2.83, to be remitted to said employe.
