In the matter of.__. condemning and taking for the Worcester Avenue Site for a future
fire station by the Department of Public Safety the following described lots: Lots 10,
11, 12 and 13, Block 6, Granport Addition,
under Preliminary Order 179775 , approved September 26, 1956
Intermediary Order 180285 , approved November 6, 1956
Final Order 180907 , approved January 2, 1957
A public hearing having been had upon the taking and condemnation of the lands or easements therein,
for the above improvement, and the awards of damages therefor, and also upon the assessment of benefits
therefor, and the Council having duly considered the same, now therefore be it
Resolved, That the taking and condemnation of the lands described in the annexed assessment roll,
identified by the signature of the Commissioner of Finance, and made a part hereof, and the awards of
damages to the owners of such lands for said taking and condemnation as set forth in said assessment roll,
be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified and confirmed.
Resolved further, that the said assessment of benefits, be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified,
and the same is hereby ordered to be submitted to the District Court for confirmation.
Be-it--further- Resolved,-that—the-said-assessment-he .and-it-is-hereby 4letermined-to-be-payable

ON CONDEMNATION OF LANDS
AND ASSESSMENT OF B EN EF1TS
In the matter of condemning and taking for the Worcester Avenue Site for a future
fire station by the Department of Public Safety the following described lots: Lots 10,
11, 12 and 13, Block 6, Granport Addition,

TO THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL:
The Commissioner of Finance hereby reports:
That he has fixed and determined the value of the land, lands or easements therein taken and appro-
priated for the above improvement and the amounts of the awards of damages therefor to the owners
thereof, and the persons to whom such awards are payable; that he has also fixed and determined the
amount of benefits to property, from the making of said improvement, not exceeding the cost there-
of, and that hereto attached is an assessment roll entitled as above and identified with the signature of
the undersigned, containing the undersigned's finding on said matters.

NOTICE OF OBJECTIONS TO TAKING AND AWARD OF DAMAGES 7 `
In the matter of condemning and taking for the Worcester Avenue Site for a
future fire station by the Department of Public Safety the following described
lot: Lot 10, Block 6, Granport Addition.
To: The Hon. Mayor and City Council
of the City of Saint Paul and to
Mrs. Donald M. De Courcy, Commissioner
of Finance, City of Saint Paul.
Notice is hereby given you that Samuel Drucker contract pur-
chaser and owner, of Lot 10, Block 6, Granport Addition, objects to the condemn-
ing and taking of said Lot 10, Block 6, Granport Addition for the purposes
referred to in the above entitled matter for the following reasons:
1. That said condemning and taking of said property is con-
trary to the provisions of the Constitution of the State of Minnesota and the
laws of the State of Minnesota.
2. That said condemning and taking of said property is unnec-
essary, arbitrary and not in the best interests of the public.
3. That the taking of said property and the expenditure of
public funds for said taking and for the proposed improvement is improper, un-
warranted and will not serve the best interests of the public.
4. That the estimated value of said property as referred to
in Preliminary Order No. 179775, Intermediaryyorder No. 180285 and Final Order
No. 180907, of the City Council of the City of Saint Paul is grossly inadequate
and will not justly compensate the owner of said property.
5. That the reasonable and fair market value of said property
to be taken is at least $2500.00.
