WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from February 16, 1957 to February 26, 1957
inclusive which rendered necessary the employment of an employee
of the Department of Public Utilities for more than eight hours
per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Making concrete block tests,
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
Completion of tests requiring continuous attention,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employee who performed such work in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
