In the matter of condemning and taking an easement in_the land necessary for mopes,
cuts and fills in grading and surfacing with bituminous material the North and
South alley in Dorn's Subdivision, from the East and West alley to Orange Ave.
under Preliminary Order 180796 , approved December 18, 1956
Intermediary Order 181265 , approved January 29, 1957
A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council having
heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered the same;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is
condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes,
cuts and fills in grading and surfacing with bituminous material the North and
South alley in Dorn's Subdivision, from the East and West alley to Orange Ave.
and the Council hereby orders said improvements to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the following land, lands or easements therein be and the same are
hereby ordered to be taken, appropriated and condemned for the purpose of making said improvements, viz.:
For slopes, cuts and fills in grading and surfacing with bituminous
material the North and South alley in Dorn's Subdivision, from the East and West
alley to Orange Ave. thee--Srb&iviaiort-, Wren
., to the extent shown on the plan on file in the office
of the Commissioner of Public Works.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and the proper city officials are hereby
authorized and directed to proceed with the making of said improve nt,in a ordance,t ew h.

December 18, 19 56 , relative to condemning and taking an easement in
the land necessary for slopes, cuts and fills in the grading and surfacing with
bituminous material the North and South alley in Dorn's Su , from the East and West
alley to Orange Ave. and the East and West alley in Dorn's Sub, from Galtier St. to
Matilda St.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. Said improvement is necessary and (or) desirable.
