Resolution Ratifying Assessment
In the matter of the assessment of benefits, damages, costs and expenses for
changing the grade of the alley in Lots 1 to 10 inc. and in Lots 43 to 52 inc., Block 4,
Rosedale Park and Kenna's Sub., from Fairview Avenue to Howell Street to conform to the
grade as shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works. Also grading
and surfacing with bituminous r .terial the alley in Lots 1 to 10 inc. and in Lots 43 to
52 inc., Block 4, Rosedale Park and Kenna's Sub., from Fairview Ave. to Howell St. to
the proposed change of grade. Also constructing a storm sewer in the alley from a point
260 ft. west of Fairview Avenue to the existing catch-basin in the alley, which lies
70 ft. west of Fairview Avenue,
under Preliminary Order 173.919 , Intermediary Order 173585 , Final Order 3,74.Q6:1
approved July 12 19__-55-.
A public hearing having been had upon the assessment for the above improvement, and said assessment
having been further considered by the Council, and having been considered finally satisfactory, be it therefore
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified, and the same
is hereby ordered to be submitted to the District Court of the County of Ramsey for confirmation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and it is hereby determined to be payable
in equal installments.

Report of Completion of Assessment

In the matter of the assessment of benefits, damages, costs and expenses for
changing the grade of the alley in Lots 1 to 10 inc. and in Lots 143 to 52 inc., Block 1+,
Rosedale Park and Kee.na's Sub., from Fairview Avenue to Howell Street to conform to
the grade as shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works. Also
grading and surfacing with bituminous material the alley in Lots 1 to 10 inc. and in
Lots 1+3 to 52 inc., Block 1+, Rosedale Park and Kenna's Sub., from Fairview Ave. to
Howell St. to the proposed change of grade. Also constructing a storm sewer in the
alley from a point 260 ft. west of Fairview Avenue to the existing catch-basin in
the alley, which lies 70 ft. west of Fairview Avenue,
under Preliminary Order 173019 , approved_ may 5, 1955
Intermediary Order 173585 , approved June 11+, 1955
Final Order 171+067 .—, approved July 12, 1955
To the Council of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Finance hereby reports to the Council the following as a statement of the ex-
penditures necessarily incurred for and in connection with the making of the above improvement, viz:
Cost of construction. $ 4,008.94 _
Engineering $ 352.90
Inspection fees $ 19.16
Postal cards. $ 1.56
Publications 11.70
Court costs for confirmation $ 3.90
Total expenditures $ 4,398.16
Said Commissioner further reports that he has assessed and levied the total amount as above ascer-
tained, to-wit: the sum of $ 1+,398.16 upon each and every lot, part or parcel of land deemed
benefited by the said improvement, and in the case of each lot, part or parcel of land in accordance with
the benefits conferred thereon; that the said assessment has been completed, and that hereto attached,
identified by the signature of the said Commissioner, and made a part hereof, is the said assessment as
completed by him, and which is herewith submitted to the Council for such action thereon as may be
considered proper.
