PRELIMINARY ORDER.
The undersigned hereby proposes the making of the following public improvement by the City of Saint Paul.viz.:
Partially opening, widening and extending the proposed Shepard Road by
condemning and taking an easement for bride and highway purposes on and across
the following described tract of land, all in the City of St.Paul, County of
Ramsey And State of Minnesota, to wits
All those parts of Lots 61,63,64 and 65, Block 28, Subdivision of Blocks 28
and 29 in Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's Addition to St.Paul, included within a strip
of land 74.50 ft. in width across the Chicago, Sr,. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha
Railway Company right-of-way, the northerly line of said strip being 35.50 ft.
northerly from and parallel with a reference line herein described and the southerly
line being 39.00 ft. southerly from and parallel with the same reference line, said
reference line being described as follows:
Commencing, for the purpose of est blishing the reference line of the
aforesaid strip of land, at the northeast corner of Government Lot 1 , Secti3n 12,
Township 28 North, Range 23 West, Fourth Principal Meridian; thence north on the
east line of said lot produced northerly a distance of 94.36 ft. to a point;
thence at an angle to the right of 81049* 30" on a straight line in an easterly
direction a distance of 569.44 ft. to the point of intersection with the center
line of the Coicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway Company right-of-way;
thence easterly on the said straight line extendeo to the easterly line of the
aforesaid right-of-way.
Also condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes,
cuts and fills in the grading and paving of the proposed Shepard Road, in those
parts of Lots 59,60,61,62 and 63, Block 28, Subdivision of Blocks 23 and 29, in
Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's Addition to St.Paul included within the right-of-way
of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway Company, to the grade as
shcwn on 11)e profile on file in the Department of Public Works.
Also a temporary easement for construction purposes in dose parts of
Lots 59,60,61, 62,63,64 and 65, Subdivision of Blocks 26 and 29, in Stinson,
Brown and Ramsey's Addition included within the right-of-way of the Chicago,
St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway Company, extenaing from James Avenue
to Randolph Avenue.
