Schroeder, City Architect, has requested the City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any com- plaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a dangerous structure at 910 Farrington Street, more particularly described as Lot 9, Block 2, Matz 's Subdivision of Lot 11, Wilkin & Heyward's Outlots to St. Paul, and WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record owners of the property are Anton and Josefa Switala, 910 Farrington Street, Saint Paul 3 Minnesota, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hold a public hearing in the Council Chamber at 10 o'clock A . M. on 9th day of July 1957, to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul, and to confirm the amount thereof; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by mail the record owners of the property in question at the last known address. Council City of St. Paul Gentlemen: A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the prop- erty known as 910 Farrington Street , on Lot 9 , Block 2, Matz 's Subdivision of Lot 11 , Wilkin & Heyward' s Outlots to St. Paul. This property is owned by Anton and Josefa Switala , 910 Farrington Streets , St. Paul 3. In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council: C.F. 180203, adopted by the Council October 31 , 1956 and published November 3, 1956, set a public hearing at 10 A.M. on November 27 , 1956. C.F. 180526, adopted by the Council November 28, 1956 and published December 1 , 1956 , ordered the wrecking by and at the separate expense of the owner, occupant , or other person in control thereof. C.F. 180845, adopted by the Council December 21 , 1956 , and published January 5 , 1957 directed the Commissioner of Parks , Playgrounds And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the two story frame dwelling and shed there- on and do any and all things therein necessary for the protec- tion of life , limb and adjoining property. C.F. 181274, adopted by the Council January 30, 1957 , publish- ed February 2, 1957 , approved the specifications prepared by this office for the wrecking of this building and authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids. et #2 C.F. 181695 , adopted by the Council February 27 , 1957 , pub- lished March 2, 1957 , approved the award of the contract for wrecking to Guy Patsy & Sons for the sum of $337.00 in accordance with specifications and formal bid No. 6214. C.F. 182807 , adopted by the Council May 14 , 1957 , published May 18, 1957 , provided that the wrecking expense of $337.00 and the expenses of the Department of Parks , Playgrounds And Public Buildings in connection with condemnation in the amount of $62.54 , making a_total of $399 .54 be paid out of wrecking condemned buildings , General Fund 31 G 23 , and , in the event said sum proves collectible from the owner , same is to be credited to 31 G 23. The buildings have been satisfactorily wrecked and a Regis- tered Bill mailed to the owner. We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days notice to consider any complaints about the ex- penses incurred and to confirm the amount.
