WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the
City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from
June 1st, 1957 to Junel$th, 1957 inclusive which rendered necessary
the employment of certain employe of the City Clerk's Office, Bureau
of Records, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week
in doing the following work:
Accepting instruments for filing and accepting license fees;
and
`v1I EAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Keeping open Monday evenings from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., being
an office of record;
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employe
who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
