RESOLVED, That Council File No. 173531, approved June 9,
1955, is hereby repealed; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the Petition of the Board of
Education of the City of Saint Paul for the vacation of all
of Rose Avenue between 'the extended west line of Lot 11, Block
1, Ames Park, and the east line of Lot 22, Block 1, Hazel
Park Plat A; all of Geranium Avenue between White Bear Avenue
and Van Dyke Street; all of Jessamine Avenue between White
Bear Avenue and Van Dyke Street, except part vacated as
recorded in Book 42, Plans, page 37; all of Van Dyke Street
between south line of Jessamine Avenue and extended south
line of alleys in Hazel Park Plat A; the east and west alley
in Block 1, Ames Park, and part of the north and south alley
east of and adjacent to the south eleven (11) feet of Lot
Sixteen (16) , and all of Lot 17 in said Block 1, and all the
alleys in Block 2, Ames Park; also the right-of-way deeded to
the City for street purposes across Lot 11 and Lot 18 in said
Block 2, for school purposes, are vacated and discontinued as
public streets and public alleys, subject expressly to the
following conditions and reservations :
1. All the conditions, reservations and provisions
contained in Ordinance No. 3394, as amended, entitled
"An ordinance regulating the procedure and prescribing the conditions
for the vacation of public grounds, streets, alleys and highways
in the City of Saint Paul, " approved March 16, 1915.
2. Petitioner will give an easement over the north 29
feet of Lot 16, Block 1, Ames Park to be used for alley
purposes to avoid creating a dead end alley.
