Mortinson DATF June 5, 1957 WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from May 5th through June 1, 1957 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Mustums and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium, more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Operate switchboard, ventilating system and electric work, also to supervise during the various activities held in the building. and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum- stances: No other trained help available to work during conventions, concerts, boy scout show, women' s institute shows and other events held in the building. This time includes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVES, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446. -- Council File No. 183199—By Severin A. Mortinson- Resolved, That ,the proper city offi- cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium for extra employment as described in the resolution.
