WHEREA , William Roppeau, an employe of the
Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul ,
was injured on November 4, 1956, in a third party acci-
dent , while engaged in the performance of his duties for
the Department of Public Safety, and the City has incurred
medical expenses in the total amount of $219. 00 therefor,
and the employe, by reason of said injury, was disabled
for work for a total of five working days , being paid
the amount of $89. 99 therefor ; and
WHEREAS , a settlement has been negotiated by
the parties in the amount of $1 ,400. 00, solely for the
amount due the employe and the City in connection with
the personal injury sustained by said employe, and
whereby the City is to receive the sum of $308. 99 for
medical expense and wages paid said employe and the
employe is to receive the remainder of $1, 091. 01 , now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, The proper City officers are hereby
authorized to accept said settlement, solely in connection
with the personal injury sustained by said employe, from
the Travelers Insurance Company, insurer of John W.
Ramaley, Jr. , the third party involved in said accident,
the amount of $219. 00 to be credited to Fund 31-G1-3,
and the amount of $89. 99 to be credited to Fund 7-Cl.
