Dear Bob:
I em noting below petite in the final draft of the Municipal Sterilise lease Aloha in ay
opinion, need further clarification. lee both you and r. Mortineen are in agreement
with me on Joy understanding of the intent in regard to thee* its, it is agreeable to
►, as you suggested, to her this letter attached the lease instead of -t; the
entire lease
Here are the points:
i. Page "l`- In outlining the dates on ch we are to her priority on the Std'
there ie no matition of the Associathos all . If, is ally
Paul Club misn be lost for this goo, we vould have to have the p for the date* ant by
the league for this Wit. Xr. gertinson has entered ne that eu03311 is the intent; even
special mention of the ,all-Star game is not set fob.
2. Page 9 — In regard to furniabing light bulbs for the field lights, the lease sets
forth that we axe to pia ► soelt bulbs but neglects to eay that the city is veepousible
for listening said lbs. Mr. Martineau assured me that this is correct, and the
city underatende the installation le the eitjr‘e responsibility.
3. Page 10 .. The lease calls for the city to turn the ld on April
15th in good playing ti and if it is not. them the city senses to furnish
fertiliser. labor, etc., it so. I can a that the city it not P ter
in a position awe ,ish this. I have told Mr. gmetineon, and he has weed. that
have we
had to it Our to zt cu the field eines it is iterative that it be readi by
April 25th. Ye will keep a record of Our expenses in this rte as we will sit deem at
a later date and near. out a way to vash it out equitably di niseallaneems
Other natters which will have to be wortd out between the two ies to the agreement.
Pam 23 : In setting forth points coneenling the advertising rigtits, the lease
stir is anbigusus in that it gives us rights to all advertising on the inside of the
tease and yet aetatoe that a inside the fence not shoe fres outside.
2 w
The physical arrangement of the fence makes it impeenible to paint the i eide without
parts of the signs showing from el1.ia AMInas This, of Our**, will be corrected when
Snelling Avenue grade is lowered as planned. NT. Nortinson ensures ire that the city
understands this and there will be no trouble on this score.
In view of these assurances on these four points, I am forwarding the copies of the lease
to the Brooms Club for the proper signatures. Upon receiving them from Brooklyn, we
will sign them and be prepared to exchange our signed copies for *hose you are having
signed simultaneously. Upon receipt of signed copies from you, we will forward the city
a check for rent dire up to that point. l trust this procedure .meets with your approval.
Sincerely,
