PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVEMENT Council File No. 182406—
Whereas, A written proposal for the
making of the following improvement,
and viz.:
PRELIMINARY ORDER.
The undersigned hereby proposesthemakingofthefollowingpublicimprovement by the City of Saint Paul, viz.:
Partially opening, wizening Pind extending Shepard Road by condemning and taking
an easement for highway purposes on and across the following described tract of
land, all in the City of St.Paul, County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, to wit:
All that part of Lot lit, Partition Plat,bounded by the following described lines:
Commencing at a point on the northwesterly line of Shepard Road(formerly Upper
Levee), which is the southeasterly corner of the said Lot 14; thence southwesterly
on the said northwesterly line, a distance of 35 ft. to a point; thence in a
northeasterly direction on a straight line to a point on the easterly line of
the said Lot 14, that is 9 ft. northerly of the point of beginning, as measured
on the aforesaid easterly line; thence southerly on the said easterly line to
the point of beginning,

having been presented to the Council of the City of Saint Paul
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby ordered and directed:
1. To investigate the necessity for, or desirability of, the making of said improvement.
2. To investigate the nature, extent and estimated cost of said improvement, and the total cost thereof.
3. To furnish a plan, profile or sketch of said improvement.
4. To state whether or not said improvement is asked for on the petition of three or more owners.
5. To report upon all of the foregoing matters to the Commissioner of Finance.
