PAUL FILE NCIL NO. �l4///F./ OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COU CIL RES TION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATF WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from April 1 to 15, 1957, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Supervision, care, maintenance and protection of public parks and playgrounds and of their facilities. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose ITT reason of the following facts and circumstances: Seasonal requirements for protection of public property and pursuit of departmental activities, such as: Heating the Loo and Greenhouse at Como Park; snowplowing and sanding boulevards, parkways and walks; plumbing repair urgent; Archery Club shoot on Sunday afternoon; and getting equipment ready for spring cleanup. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 644.6. Council File No. 182392—By Bernard T.
