OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COU CIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM of PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATE WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from April 1st to April 15th 1957 inc., which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Supervising repairs to water mains. 2) Performing duties of Chief Meter Reader. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: (1) In order to give water and fire protection to consumers as soon as possible. (2) Illness of regular Chier Meter Reader. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No.6446. Council File No. 182332—By Milton Rosen— Resolved, That the proper city offi- cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Water for extra employment as ;described in the resolution.
