THE AWARD OF DAMAGES ,
In the matter of
Opening and extending the proposed Jones Street to a width of 80 ft. by taking :and'
condemning the following described parcel of land: A parcel of land 80 ft. in
width in the South z of the NW* and the North I of the SW I, Sec. 27, T-29 N, R-23 W,
the center line of which is described as follows: Commencing, for the purpose of
establishing the point of beginning, on the East line of Snelling Avenue, as
described in the opening of Schroeder Drive; thence Easterly on a straight line
making an angle of 90° with the East line of Snelling Avenue a distance of 914 ft.
to a point; thence on a straight line that makes an angle to the right of 3° 26' a
distance of 400.72 ft. to a point; thence on a straight line that makes an angle
to the left of 2° 17' a distance of 884.20 ft. to a point; thence on a straight
line that makes an angle to the left of 1° 09' a distance of 3814.6 ft. to a point;
thence on a straight line that makes an angle to the right of 90° a distance of
50 ft; thence Southerly on the said previous line produced a distance of 922.79 fto
to the end of opening.
The Commissioner of Finance having submitted his report in the above matter as to the amount of
damages awarded for the taking of the land or easements therein appropriated for the above improvement
and to whom payable; and also having submitted his assessment of benefits to property from the making
of said improvement, therefore be it
Resolved, That the said assessment of benefits be and the same is hereby approved.
Resolved further, That a public hearing be had before the Council upon said report and for a confirma-
tion of the awards of damages made by the Commissioner of Finance, and also upon the said assessment of
benefits; at the Council Chamber, in the Court House in the City of St. Paul on the 7th day
of August , 19 57 , at ten o'clock A. M., and that the Commissioner of Finance
be and he is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing as prescribed by the Charter.
