Resolution Ratifying Assessment
In the matter of the assessment of refits, damages, posts and expenses for
changing the grade of the west north and south alley and the east and west alley in
J. NA. Warner's 2nd Addition, and Block 1, Joseph R. Weide's Addition, from Rose Avenue
to Maryland Avenue, and from the east north and south alley to the vest north and south
alley to conform to the grade as shown on file in the Department of Public Works. Also
regrading and surfacing with bituminous material the east north and south alley in Block
1, Joseph R. Weide's Addition, from a point 90 ft. north of Rose Avenue to Maryland
Avenue. Also grading and surfacing with bituminous material the west north and south
alley and the east and west alley in J. M. Warner's 2nd Addition, and in Block 1, Joseph
R. Weide's Addition, from Rose Avenue to Me,ryland Avenue and from the east north and south
alley to the west north and south alley to the proposed change of grade. Also construct-
ing a sewer in the east and test alley fran 106 ft. east of the center line of the west
north and south alley to the center line of the vest north and south alley, thence south
in the west north and south alley to the existing sewer in Rose Avenue,
A public hearing having been had upon the assessment for the above improvement, and said assessment
having been further considered by the Council, and having been considered finally satisfactory, be it therefore
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified, and the same
is hereby ordered to be submitted to the District Court of the County of Ramsey for confirmation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and it is hereby determined to be payable
in equal installments.

To the Council of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Finance hereby reports to the Council the following as a statement of the ex-
penditures necessarily incurred for and in connection with the making of the above improvement, viz:
Cost of construction. $ 6,249.55 —
Engineering $ 502.20
Inspection fees $ 42.48
Postal cards. $ 1.80
Publications $ 13.50
Court costs for confirmation $ 4.50
Total expenditures $ 6,814.03
Said Commissioner further reports that he has assessed and levied the total amount as above ascer-
tained, to-wit: the sum of $ 6,814.03 upon each and every lot, part or parcel of land deemed
benefited by the said improvement, and in the case of each lot, part or parcel of land in accordance with
the benefits conferred thereon; that the said assessment has been completed, and that hereto attached,
identified by the signature of the said Commissioner, and made a part hereof, is the said assessment as
completed by him, and which is herewith submitted to the Council for such action thereon as may be
considered proper.
