PROCEEDINGS
In the matter of opening, widenin• and extendin: Mounds Boulevard b condemni : and t.king
the following described parcel of land: That part of Block 65, Lyman Dayton's Addition
described as follows: Commencing on the southeasterly line of Cherry Street, 120 ft.south-
westerly from the most northerly corner of said block; thence southeasterly parallel with
Hoffman Avenue(now Mounds Boulevard) 150 ft.;thence southwesterly parallel with Cherry
Street to the right-of-way of the railroad; thence northwesterly along said right-of-way
to Cherry Street; thence northeasterly to beginning,
under Preliminary Order 182405 , approved April 18th, 1957
Intermediary Order _ 183159 , approved June 4th, 1957
A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council having
heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered the same;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is open, widen and extend T:lounds Boulevard by condemning
and taking the following described parcel of land: That part of Block 65, Lyman Dayton's
Addition, described as follows:Commencing on the southeasterly line of Cherry Street,
120 ft. southwesterly from the most northerly corner of said block;thence southeasterly
parallel with Hoffman Avenue(now Mounds Boulevard) 150 ft.;thence southwesterly parallel
with Cherry Street to the right-of-way of the railroad; thence northwesterly along said
right-of-way to Cherry Street; thence northeasterly to beginning.
and the Council hereby orders said improvements to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the following land, lands or easements therein be and the same are
hereby ordered to be taken, appropriated and condemned for the purpose of making said improvements, viz.:
That part of Block 65, Lyman Dayton's Addition, described as follows: Commencing
on the southeasterly line of Cherry Street, 120 ft. southwesterly from the most
northerly corner of said block; thence southeasterly parallel with Hoffman Avenue
(now Mounds Boulevard) 150 ft.; thence southwesterly parallel with Cherry Street to
the right-of-way of the railrond;thence northwesterly along said right-of-way to Cherry
Street;thence northeasterly to beginning.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and the proper city officials are hereby
authorized and directed to proceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.
