Resolved, That the Council hereby
approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor,and hereby awards
RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water
Department f.o.b. St. Paul, Minnesota, to Railway Spur Track to be designated later,
approximately 1100 feet of 30" and approximately 1350 feet of 24" Prestressed Concrete
Cylinder Pipe with rubber and steel joints and appurtenances to LOCK JOINT PIPE COMPANY
in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
#6443 of said Lock Joint Pipe Company for the Contract Price of Approximately $39,675.50,
(Board of Water Commissioners reserving the right to increase any item not to exceed
20% of the quantities indicated), such bid being the only bid and said Lock Joint Pipe
Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of St. Paul.
