RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water
Department Filtration Plant, St. Paul, Minnesota, approximately 50 tons Anhydrous
Ammonia (approx. one year's supply) to HAWKINS CHEMICAL, INC. , in accordance with
Water Department specifications and the Formal Bid #6427 of said Hawkins Chemical, Inc. ,
at a contract price of approximately $8,250.00 in bulk (tank truck), such bid being
the lowest and said Hawkins Chemical, Inc. being the lowest reliable and reasonable
bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper
form of contract therefor and the proper City officials are hereby authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul. Council en—
