PAUL Resolution Ratifying Assessment In the matter of the assessment of beneifts, costs and expenses for repaving Como Avenue from Snelling Avenue to Raymond Avenue by surfacing with asphaltic concrete the existing track area where track paving is adequate and removing track and track pavement where required; removing the existing wood block wearing course and surfac- ing with asphaltic concrete the remainder of the roadway area, constructing new curb where necessary, constructing sewer, water and gas service connections from street mains to property lines where necessary; constructing drainage facilities; reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on intersecting streets where not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to said im- provement, under Preliminary Order 172l9 , Intermediary Order 173504 , Final Order 173972 approved July 5, 19 55 A public hearing having been had upon the assessment for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council, and having been considered finally satisfactory, be it therefore RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified, and the same is hereby ordered to be submitted to the District Court of the County of Ramsey for confirmation. PAUL OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF FINANCE t '-)4, • Report of Completion of Assessment May 21 _ 19 57 In the matter of the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for repaving Como Avenue from Snelling Avenue to Raymond Avenue by surfacing with asphaltic concrete the existing track area where track paving is adequate and removing track and track pavement where required; removing the existing wood block wearing course and surfacing with asphaltic concrete the remainder of the roadway area, constructing new curb where necessary, constructing sewer, water and gas service connections from street mains to property lines where necessary; constructing drainage facilities; reconstruct- ing the caving, curbing and sidewalks on intersecting streets where not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to said improvement, under Preliminary Order 172819 , approved Ap i 21, 1955 -- Intermediary Order 173501+ , approved June 7, 1955 Final Order —, approved July 5, 1955 To the Council of the City of St. Paul: The Commissioner of Finance hereby reports to the Council the following as a statement of the ex- penditures necessarily incurred for and in connection with the making of the above improvement, viz: Cost of construction. $ 140,92,9.11 Engineering $ 5,056.01 Inspection fees $ 2,769.22_ Postal cards. $ 2.22 Publications $ 16.65_ Court costs for confirmation $ _5.55_ Total expenditures $ 11+8,778.79 Said Commissioner further reports that he has assessed and levied the total amount as above ascer- tained, to-wit: the sum of $ 148,778.79 upon each and every lot, part or parcel of land deemed benefited by the said improvement, and in the case of each lot, part or parcel of land in accordance with the benefits conferred thereon; that the said assessment has been completed, and that hereto attached, identified by the signature of the said Commissioner, and made a part hereof, is the said assessment as completed by him, and which is herewith submitted to the Council for such action thereon as may be considered proper.
