An ordinance governing the connection n:d belonging to the University e f
sewers serving State-owned land belonging to
the University of Minnesota to be developed
for veterans ' housing purposes located outside
the City of Saint Paul, which sewers , shall
connect with the sewer system of the City of
Saint Paul. This is an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1.
That hereafter it shall be lawful for and permission
and authority are hereby given to the University of
',Minnesota to connect any sewer serving the property
hereinafter described with the sewer system of the
City of Saint Paul upon the conditions hereinafter' set
forth, viz :
1. The legal description of the property
involved is as follows :
The S .W. 1/4 of the S .W. 1/4 of Sec. 21 ,
T. 29, R. 23. And the W. 1/2 of the
W. 1/2 of the S . E. 1/4 of the S .W. 1/4 `
of Sec . 21 , T. 29 , R. 23. And all that
part of the N.W. 1/4 of Sec. 28, T. 29,
R. 23 lying W. of the E. line of the W.
1/2 of the W. 1/2 of the N. E. 1/4 of the
the N. . 1/4 of Sec. 28 and North of Como
i/ s Avenue (Formerly Langford Ave. )

2. All connections to said system shall
obe made with the approval of the Commissioner
® \ U of Public Works and under his direction, and
Oin accordance with such rules and regulations
(r s, as he may from time to time prescribe.
• 3. That the City Engineer of the City of
C Saint Paul shall be given the right to enter
upon and inspect said system at any time deemed
necessary by him.
4. Plans and profiles for said proposed
sewer shall be submitted to and shall be subject
to the approval of the Chief E ngineer of the
Department of Public Works before the work is
started.

5. The University of Minnesota shall at no
time permit storm water, rain water leaders , or
ground drainage water to be directed into said
sewers .
6. The University of Minnesota shall pay
to the City of Saint Paul the following amount
per year for each building constructed, the
amount being governed by the size of the water
connection or meter to the building :

7. The University of Minnesota agrees

sewer system of Saint Paul.
Section 2.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and publication.
