In the Matter of partially opening, widening and extending Shepard Road by condemn-
ing and taking an easement for highway purposes on and across the following described
tract of land, all in the City of St. Paul, County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota,
to wit:
All that part of Lot 14, Partition Plat, bounded by the following described lines:
Commencing at a point on the northwesterly line of Shepard Road (formerly Upper Levee),
which is the southeasterly corner of the said Lot 14; thence southwesterly on the said
northwesterly line, a distance of 35 ft. to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction
on a straight line to a point on the easterly line of the said Lot 14, that is 9 ft.
northerly of the point of beginning, as measured on the aforesaid easterly line; thence
southerly on the said easterly line to the point of beginning,
under Preliminary Order 132406 _approved Apri 1 1 R, 1957
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is partially open,
widen and extend Shepard Road by condemning and taking an easement for highway purposes
on and across the following described tract of land, all in the City of St. Paul,
County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, to wit:
All that part of Lot 14, Partition Plat, bounded by the following desc.°ibed lines:
Commencing at a point on the northwesterly line of Shepard Road (formerly Upper Levee),
which is the southeasterly corner of the said Lot 14; thence southwesterly on the said
northwesterly line, a distance of 35 ft. to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction
on a straight line to a point on the easterly line of the said Lot 14, that is 9 ft.
northerly of the point of beginning, as measured on the aforesaid easterly line; thence
southerly on the said easterly line to the point of beginning,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 150.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 25th day of
June , 19 57 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
