WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the
City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from
May 1, 1957 to May 31, 1957 inclusive which rendered necessary the
employment of certain employes of the City Clerk's Office, Bureau
of Records, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per
week in doing the following work:
Accepting instruments for filing and accepting license fees;
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Keeping open Monday evenings from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., being
an office of record;
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employes
who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
