This property is located adjacent to the east side of Raymond one lot north of Buford. The applicants are the owners of a 50' lot on Raymond which extends easterly a distance of some 150' . The width of this lot is such that the applicants are able to provide a 8' planting screen to separate this parking facility from Lot 10 directly to the north. Because this would leave apart only some 42' for parking on the remainder of the lot and because the southerly portion of this parking lot abutts the rear of the residential property to the south (which has its frontage on Buford) the applicants are also appealing to the Council to set aside the re- quirement of an 8' planting strip adjacent to the south side of this parking lot. Tn view of the obvious hardship involved and the fact that the relationships proposed would not materially affect the abutting property to the south, the Zoning Board recommends that the appeal to waive this 8' planting strip requirement adjacent to the south side of this lot be granted. In consideration of the general need for off-street parking and the fact that the applicant plans with the exception of the landscaping provisions comport with all existing standards, the Zoning Board also recommends that this nermit410 to establish the parking lot on the property under consideration be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans approved April 18, 1957. r Sin re ; 116l4---16 C.
