To whom it may concern;
I the undersigned, am stating the reasons why I don't
want sidewalks in front of my house. We have a frontage of
154 feet. I am self supporting and cant a"ford it .
I feel that for the city to put in a side-walk of one block
would serve no earthly purpose. We live on a corner lot and
send comes down in tons after every rain thus covering our
proposed monclithLc nen we walk to or from the
bus line we have to walk in the street because there are no side-
talks in any part of the whole Hazel Park district. I think that
putting them just for one block would not be worth while/
Among other reasons, all though this one I don't think affects me,
is that there is a possibility of the new highway going at an angle
connecting east seventh street to the stillwatter road. This corner
is the exact beginning of the new proposed one block side-walk.
The people living on the two corner lots with property facing on
Algonquin, feel that putting in side-walks would be a waste, because if
the proposed highway goes through it would go right through their property.
side-walk and all. I am quite sure I cannot be at the meeting so I am
sending in my views. Thank You and yours truly
