Council File No. 182902— By In the matter of improving Lafond Avenue from Como Avenue to Rice Street by removing the existing asphalt FINAL ORDER surfacing and concrete base where necessary and surfacing the existing concrete base where left in place with asphaltic concrete; by constructing new concrete base with.asphaltic In the the Matter of improving Lafond Avenue from Como Avenue to Rice Street by removing the existing asphalt surfacing and concrete base where necessary and surfacing the existing concrete base where left in place with asphaltic concrete; by constructing new concrete base with asphaltic concrete surfacing where the existing pavement is removed; by grading and paving the widened roadway with concrete base and asphaltic concrete surfacing; by grading and paving driveway returns; by constructing new curbs and sidewalks where neces- sary; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections from the street mains to the property lines where necessary; by reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting streets where not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to said improvement, under Preliminary Order 181384 approved February 5s 1957 Intermediary Order approved A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered the same; therefore, be it RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im- provement to be made by the said City is, improve Lafond Avenue from Como Avenue to Rice Street by removing the existing asphalt surfacing and concrete base where necessary and surfacing the existing concrete base where left in place with asphaltic concrete; by constructing new concrete base with asphaltic concrete surfacing where the existing pavement is removed; by grading and paving the widened roadway with concrete base and asphaltic concrete sur- facing; by grading and paving driveway returns; by constructing new curbs and sidewalks where necessary; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections from the street mains to the property lines where necessary; by reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting streets where not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to said improvement, and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made. RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro- ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.
