RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee therefor,
and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Bureau of Municipal Equipment,
891 North Dale Street, St. Paul, Minnesota, Three 1957 Model 79D, 6 cylinder 4-door,
6 passenger Country Sedan Station Wagons, (including inspections and adjustments) to DOWNTOWN
FORD COMPANY, in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal
Bid #6353 of said Downtown Ford Company at a cost of $5,979.75, less allowance of $675.00 for
two 1955 Mainline Model, 6 cylinder, Ford two-door Sedans, serial numbers A5PG-187612 &
A5PG-187610 & one 1955 Model, Chevrolet, 6 cylinder, two door Sedan, serial number A55J-156067,
making total contract price of $5,304.75, such bid being the lowest and said Downtown Ford
Company being the lowest reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be, and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
