NHEREAS, the City and County Detention and Workhouse Facility Commission has
approved a contract with the Northern States Power Company for the gas main
extension to the Juvenile Detention Home located at 1771 North Kent Street,
which extension amounts to the installation of approximately six hunred feet
of pipe at a total cost of 0.,250, said approval of contract being given by
the Detention and Workhouse Facility Commission at its regular meeting held
May 3, 1957; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners in session on May 13, 1957 approved
the above contract as well as the claim for payment of this amount to the
Northern States Power Company in advance of the actual construction, the total
amount to be borne equally by the City of St. Paul and the County of Ramsey,
pursuant to Chapter 353, Laws of 1955.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ihSOLVLD, that the Common Council of the City of St. Paul
approves the aforementioned contract and instructs the proper City officials
to pay one-half of the attached claim or S625.00 to the Northern States Power
Compa ry for the installation of the gas main at the new Juvenile Detention
Home.
