RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the recommendation of the Purchasing
Committee in awarding contract for furnishing and delivering 4 - 24" Water Gate Valves
to the Water Department, Hamline & Carroll on Chicago, Milwaukee Ry., St. Paul, Minnesota,
to M & H VALVE & FITTINGS COMPANY for the contract price of $5,383.00 (Board of Water
Commissioners reserving right to increase total order by 257.) all in accordance with
Water specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #6444 of said M & H
Valve & Fittings Company, such bid being the lowest, and said bidder being a reasonable
and reliable one and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the
proper form of contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
