Examples of work performed: To coordinate the activities of all bureaus and divisions of the Public Works Department within the general policy and program determined by the Commissioner. To plan, install and maintain procedures to assure proper and prompt disposal of all departmental matters. To be responsible for the clerical work of the department. To be in charge of staff accessions, transfers and separations. To prepare and to conduct training programs. To conduct investigations regarding the operation of the department, and to report thereon. To supervise the preparation of non-technical specifications, and the requisitioning of material, equipment and supplies. To be responsible for the physical arrangements and the facilities of various offices of the department. Minimum qualifications: College graduation and one year's professional experience in administrative work.
