Resolved,That the proper city officers
Tare hereby authorized to pay certain
employes in the Department of Li-
braries, Auditorium, Museums and
Stadia for extra employment as de-
scribed in the resolution.

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums
and Stadia has repo ed in accordance with Section 53 of
the City Charter, t - existence of an emergency during
the period from Sept-mber 1 to September 15, 1957, which
rendered necessary tie employment of certain employees
of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and
Stadia for mcre than eight hours per day or forty hours
per week in doing th- following work:
Necessary for ma;ntenance and operation of parking
at Municipal Sta•ium.
And, WHEREAS, This e ergency arose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances:
Could not be han•led by untrained personnel.
THEREFORE BE IT RES ' VED, That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employes shown on the attached
list, who performs such work in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Cou cil's salary ordinance, No. 6446.
