WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public
Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from September 1 to 15, 1957, which
rendered ne essary the employment of certain employees
of the Dep tment of Parks, Playgrounds and Public
Buildings f r more than eight hours per day or forty
hours per w ek in doing the following work:
Expedi ing the services of the City Architectls
office
And WHEREAS, Th' emergency arose by reason of the following
facts and c rcumstances:
Extrao dinary, heavy demand for the develop-
ment o bond issue projects.
THEREFORE, BE IT,RESOLVED, That the proper city officers
are hereby -uthorized to pay the employees who per-
formed such . ork in accordance with the provisions
of the Coun.ilt s salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6W46.
