A RESOLUTION TO CO-NAME THE 501 LAWSON AVENUE BLOCK
(BETWEEN KENT STREET AND MACKUBIN STREET)
IN HONOR OF REVEREND AND MRS. STEVE DANIELS JR.
WHEREAS, since the� arm al to Sunt Paul fxom W esr Point, Mississipp� nearly 18 cears agq Revetend and Mrs. Steve

WHEREAS, the On-Site Feedmg 1'rogram seroes an esamated 10,000 meals every year to the economically
disadvantaged and Senioxs; and
WHEREAS, the Christmas Toy Dxive provides mfr cards, electxonics and toys to low-mcome families in the Sunt Pau]
commumK; and
WHEREAS, ehe AX mier Coat Dnve pcovides an esnmated 200 adults and children each year wieh new and gendy used
unntrs appazel smce its inception tn 2005; and
WHEREAS, the �lnnual I31ood llrAVC, a partnexslvp w7th the ?,mencan Red Cross, highhghts rhe importance of
donaYing blood and tncreases the number of Esst-ume <lfrican �lmexican blood donoss, and
WHEREAS, the Home Foreclosure Semmaxs hosts a serres ok free and open-to-the pubhc seminars that provldes
mfonnauon on how ro avoid foreclosuce and how to rebuild cxedit if focedosuYe is unavoidable; and
WHEREAS, The Uxban Parmexshrp and Community Development Centex, (UPCDC) an affihated non-profit, provides
transportauon and support seroices to Twin Ciues Semors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 501 Lawson Avenue block (bet�veen Kent Stseet and Mackubin
Street) is hereby co-named Revexend and Mrs. Sceve llamels, Jx., and that appxopriate stteet signage be placed by the
Department of Public Warks at the Kent and Mackubm intersectton efEectrve Septembex 19, 2009.
